Charles Augustus Luhrs: A Case Study

This Flickr case study illustrates the extensive collections, both public documents and manuscript and personal papers, held by the Center for Sacramento History. Using both sets of records, researchers are able to locate historical and genealogical information. The combined public and private records held at CSH affords the researcher “one stop shopping” in discovering information about the people of the Sacramento region. In this case study, we examine the life of one prominent Sacramentan, Charles A. Luhrs, through the collections held at the Center.
