Volunteers & Interns
Volunteers and Interns assist Center staff with a variety of projects. The Center seeks out committed volunteers with backgrounds or work experience in museums, libraries, or archives, and attempts to accept applications from all who wish to apply. Highly desirable skills for our volunteers include data entry, carpentry, graphic design, photography, and scanning. Our interns generally come from graduate programs in History, Public History, Library Sciences, and Museum Studies.
Volunteers assist staff with a variety of projects, including processing collections, scanning photographs, fabricating exhibits, and helping with reference. Please see the Volunteer Program page for more information about our volunteer opportunities and to download an application.
Internships are offered for the fall, spring, and summer semesters, and focus on several aspects of the archival or museum professions. Please see the Internship Program page for more information about our internship opportunities and to download an application.
